The Blenheim Blades and Dresden Kings opened the Provincial Junior Hockey League season with wins.

Malcolm Campbell scored twice and added an assist as the Blades beat the Lakers 4-1 in Wallaceburg. Myles Fraser scored the Lakers only goal.

The Dresden Kings doubled up the Sharks 4-2 in Wheatley’s home opener. Nolan VandenBoorn scored twice for the Kings, including the game winner.
