The Blenheim Blades are making a pair of moves behind their bench as they try to right the ship this season.
The team has released head coach Bill Cumming and defense coach Shawn Tiffin. Cumming was an assistant coach with the team last season and was promoted to the head coaching position after Ken Shine left the club.
The moves come after some recent struggles for the team -- Blenheim has only won three of its last 17 games after going 6-2 to start the season. They're currently sitting in seventh place in the PJHL's Stobbs Division.
Blades GM Lonnie Hamilton says he hopes to have some new staff in place in the next couple of days.
The Blades will practice Thursday, but they don’t play another game until Sunday when they host the Amherstburg Admirals at 7pm.
