Jr. Hockey Wrap Up – February 9, 2017

The Leamington Flyers shutout the Sarnia Legionnaires 4-0 in GOJHL action on Thursday.

Griffin Robinson led Leamington with two goals, while Broden Meloche and Cale Phibbs both scored once.

The Flyers are at home on February 16 when they take on the Chatham Maroons. The puck drops at 7:10pm.

And in the PJHL playoffs, the Dresden Kings blanked the Blenheim Blades 2-0 to take a 2-1 series lead.

Macks Holmes and Kevin Ritzer scored the two goals for Dresden.

The two teams are in Dresden for Game 4 on Friday at 7:30pm.

The Wheatley Sharks staved off elimination with a 5-3 win over the Amherstburg Admirals in Game 4.

Delaney MacDonald was top scorer for Wheatley with two goals, while Cole Butler, Alixe Saliba and Kyle Gagnon all scored once.

Cory Burns, Travis Campbell and Mark Gangnon each scored one goal for the Admirals.

Amherstburg leads the Sharks 3-1 in the best-of-seven series.

The puck drops for Game 5 on Sunday at 7pm in Amherstburg.

And the Lakeshore Canadiens crushed the Petrolia Flyers 10-3 to sweep the series 4-0.

Kyler Carter led Lakeshore with a hat trick and Connor Rosaasen scored twice. Mejoe Gasparovic, Steven Sartor, Nick Tavolieri-Essex, Brandon Ireland and Jake Nimmo also had one goal each.

Lakeshore's next game has yet to be determined.
