Junior Hockey Wrap Up - October 1, 2016

The LaSalle Vipers notched their fourth win in a row with a 6-1 drubbing of the Lambton Shores on the road 6-1 in junior B action.

Liam MacDougall's first period goal with 4:11 left in the first period would be enough to put the Vipers ahead for good.  MacDougall would also contribute two assists in the contest.  LaSalle would score four more times in the third period.  Michael Ruttinger and Manny Silverio would each have a goal and an assist for LaSalle.  Ethan Sarfati scored the lone goal for Lambton Shores.

Eli Billing was the winning goaltender for the Vipers, knocking away 30 of the 31 Predator shots.

The Vipers return to the Vollmer Complex Wednesday night to host the St. Mary's Lincolns.

In a junior C tilt, the Wallaceburg Lakers remain winless on the season following a 4-1 defeat at the hands of the Flags in Mooretown.

Trevor Waller was the lone goal scorer for the Lakers with the goal coming at 18:42 gone in the second period.  Colton Coates assisted on that goal.

Ryan Lyle had two goals and an assist for Mooretown, while Cade Robbins scored once and had two assists of his own.  Max Lozon stopped 43 of Mooretown's 47 shorts between the pipes for Wallaceburg.

The Lakers move on to Essex on Tuesday night for a contest against the 73s, followed by a home game against Lakeshore Wednesday night.
