Spitfires Back On Home Ice

The Spitfires are on home ice tonight after four away games and four losses.

The puck drops against Sault Saint Marie at 7pm. Right wing Christian Fischer says they are ready to play a full game. "Every player is going to have to step up defensively," says Fischer, "we have to tighten up and shut down every line."

Spitfires rank second in the west division with 3 points separating them from Sarnia.

With only 14 game until playoffs, assistant coach Trevor Letowski says the next few games are crucial . "It's that time of the year where you've gotta get points, we've gotta take care of ourselves, and it starts this weekend."

The team continues with back to back games against Hamilton on Saturday and Sunday.
