Spitfires On Display At Top Prospects Game

The 2016 BMO CHL Top Prospects Game goes tonight in Vancouver and the Windsor Spitfires are well represented.

Defencemen Logan Stanley and Mikhail Sergachev are on Team Orr while centre Logan Brown suits up for Team Cherry.

"I've been watching his (Don Cherry) Saturday night hockey segments all my life so it'll be funny to hear what he says in person and to just meet him," says Brown.

Brown is currently ranked as the 14th North American skater for this summer's draft. Sergachev is the tenth ranked North American skater and Logan Stanley is slotted at 23rd.

Former Spitfire, ex-NHLer, and Blenheim Native Todd Warriner will serve as an assistant coach for Team Orr.

"I'm going to try and help them (Team Orr's players) anyway I can and give them the opportunity to play their best and showcase their talents," says Warriner. "They'll be lots of people in the building to watch and lots of players who can benefit from having a good game. I'm just looking forward to getting to know the kids.

The game starts tonight at 9pm on Sportsnet.
