Area Players Get Hockey Canada Invite

Some area hockey players have been invited to Hockey Canada's National Teams Summer Showcase.

Clachan native and Ottawa 67's forward Travis Konecny has been invited to the Under-20 development camp.

Windsor Spitfires forward Logan Brown has been invited to the the Under-18 selection camp.

And for the Under-17 development camp, Amherstburg native and Spitfires draft pick, goalie Michael DiPietro has received an invite, as well as Tecumseh native Jack Studnicka, who's a forward with Detroit Belle Tire. They'll also be joined by Spitfires draft pick and forward Gabe Vilardi.

The camps will run from July 29 to August 6 in Calgary.

This marks the first time Hockey Canada has brought together all three of Canada's national men's programs in the same city at the same time.
