Maroons-Vipers Lock Horns In LaSalle
February 4, 2015 12:45pm
A member of the Maroons will surpass the 200 game mark in Junior B hockey tonight when Chatham visits LaSalle.
Alex Morgan will play game 201 at the Vollmer Complex. The 20-year-old says the only thing that’s changed is his nickname. “Originally I got called Moose just because I’m thick and I run through everything,” says Morgan with a bit of a laugh. “Now with my hairline and my 200th game I’m Papa Moose.”
The Maroons have won eight straight and sit in second place in the division with 58 points and eight games left in the regular season. LaSalle sits in fourth in the division with six to play and a total of 52 points. Vipers Head Coach Bill Bowler says he’d be happy with a 4th place finish heading to the playoffs.
Puck drop is set for 7pm.
