Flyers Soaring Into 2015

The Leamington Flyers simply want to be as good in the second half of the GOJHL season as they were in the first.
Now enjoying their Christmas break, the team sits atop the Western Conference with a record of 27-6-1.

Head Coach Tony Piroski couldn't be happier.  "My veteran players, who have come back, have stepped it up a notch and we filled some holes with some real good, young players," explains the coach.  "We didn't expect this coming into the season, but now that it's here, we'll except it."

The reigning conference champions have the best goals against in the west, but have been involved in some high scoring contests lately, allowing three or more goals in each of their last five games.  The team won four of those, but Piroski says that's something he wants to tighten up as they get closer to playoff time.
