Police ask for help to find stolen vehicle

Chatham-Kent police are appealing to the public for tips as they work to track down a vehicle that was reported stolen recently in Dover Township.

Police said the dark blue 2019 Mazda CX5 was taken sometime overnight from May 20 to May 21 and was last seen with Ontario license plate CWLK085.

The vehicle is similar to the one pictured below.

OPP nab driver going way too fast on the Highway 401

A 28-year-old Toronto resident is facing a pair of charges after OPP reported stopping a vehicle that was going more than 70 kilometers per hour over the posted 100 km/h speed limit on the Hwy. 401 in Chatham-Kent.

OPP said they stopped the passenger vehicle in the westbound lanes of the highway just after 4:30 p.m. Saturday.

The driver was later charged with stunt driving and failing to have an insurance card.

As a result of the stunt driving charge, the vehicle was also set to be impounded for 14 days and the driver's license will be suspended for 30 days.
