Chatham man and woman arrested for domestic-related offences 

A man and woman from Chatham have been arrested after dispute Friday morning.

According to Chatham-Kent police, the pair were previously arrested on April 9 following a domestic-related incident and released from custody with conditions not to speak or see one another.

On Friday, the man attended the woman's residence despite legally not being allowed to. Around 11 a.m., the woman asked a neighbour to help remove the man from her residence and while trying to help, the neighbour was assaulted by the man.

Police responded and arrested both the 20-year-old man and the 18-year-old woman

The pair were taken to police headquarters and held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Chatham-Kent police knock off two more names from outstanding warrant list 

A 37-year-old man is in even more trouble with the police after being arrested for having several outstanding warrants for failing to attend court.

Police said the man was located in the area of Wellington Street West in Chatham at around 8:24 a.m. on Friday.

A query of the man confirmed he had multiple warrants for failing to attend court.

The 37-year-old was arrested and taken to police headquarters where he was held for a bail hearing.

That same day, Chatham-Kent police arrested a 32-year-old Wallaceburg man, known to be wanted by police, in the area of Duncan Street.

Police said a warrant for break and enter was out for his arrest.

The man was arrested on site but released from police custody a short time after on an appearance notice with a future court date.
