Man climbs through drive-thru window
A 35-year-old Chatham-Kent man has been charged after he allegedly broke into a restaurant on St. Clair Street in Chatham through the drive-thru window.
Police said they were called to the scene just before 11:30 p.m. Tuesday and learned that the man was confronted by employees after he climbed in, but kept looking for money.
By the time police arrived, the man was still inside the restaurant.
Officers arrested the man and charged him with breaking and entering.
He was taken to police headquarters and later released with conditions and a future court date.

Police find break-in tools on man out for an early morning stroll
A 34-year-old Chatham-Kent man is facing a handful of charges after police allegedly found him walking on the Hwy. 401 overpass on Bloomfield Road shortly after 3 a.m. Wednesday.
Police said they caught up with him after they received a call about a suspicious person walking near a commercial business on Seventh Line West in Raleigh Township.
Officers said when they spoke to the man, he was wearing a scarf covering his face and allegedly tried to hide his identity by giving police a fake name.
When police found out who he was, they also learned that he had previously been ordered to stay inside his residence between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. daily and to not have any break-in tools in his possession.
Despite that, police said they found an angle grinder, a hacksaw, a bolt cutter, and some metal cutting disks on him when they searched him.
The man was arrested and charged with obstructing police, wearing a disguise with intent, possession of break-in tools, and two counts of breaching a release order.
He was taken to police headquarters and was set to be held there pending a bail hearing.
