Bowling Thunder raises more than $10K for CK Victim Services

A bowling fundraiser for Chatham-Kent Victim Services over the weekend knocked down all the pins and then some.

The first-ever Bowling Thunder event at Chatham Bowlerama ended up raising over $10,000, far exceeding expectations according to organizers.

"We are very grateful to people in Chatham-Kent who donated, sponsored, and attended our first-ever Bowling Thunder fundraiser," said Jason Brown, Volunteer and Community Engagement Coordinator, Chatham-Kent Victim Services. "The generosity of people in our community was fully displayed on Sunday afternoon."

The money will support the Crisis Services and Community Programming offered by Chatham-Kent Victim Services.

Victim Services supports more than 1,400 people in Chatham-Kent every year with their healing and recovery after they have been impacted by crime, tragedy, and traumatic situations.
