Ford Focus stolen from business on King Street West in Chatham 

A 40-year-old Toronto woman is facing theft-related charges after allegedly stealing a 2011 mint green Ford Focus from a King Street West business in Chatham.

Police said the woman and the stolen vehicle were located in Toronto after being involved collision later in the day on Saturday.

The woman was placed under by the Toronto police and held in custody pending a bail hearing.

The 40-year-old woman was charged by the Chatham-Kent police with theft of a motor vehicle, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, driving while under suspension, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, mischief under $5,000, and failure to comply with release order.

Hunting bag stolen from a garage in Wallaceburg

Chatham-Kent police are appealing to the public for tips after a hunting bag containing about 25 shotgun shells was stolen from a garage on Roy Street in Wallaceburg overnight.

Wallaceburg man arrested for driving while he was not supposed to 

A 22-year-old Wallaceburg man will have to answer to several driving-related charges after he was caught driving despite being ordered by the court not to.

Police initiated a traffic stop on St. Clair Street in Chatham around 9 p.m. on Saturday. Through investigation, police learned the man was driving even though he was not supposed to.

The 22-year-old was arrested and charged with operation while prohibited and five counts of driving while under suspension.

His vehicle was impounded for 45 days.
