Multiple noise complaints leads to arrest

A 47-year-old man is facing a mischief charge after Chatham-Kent police got several noise complaints in the same day.

Around 3 p.m. Thursday, officers responded to an address on Richmond Street in Chatham for a disturbance.

Through investigation, police learned that the resident had been the subject of several noise complaints throughout the day.

As a result, he was arrested and charged with mischief for interfering with the lawful use or enjoyment of property.

He was eventually released from custody with a future court date.

Unwanted person call results in arrest 

A late-night call to Chatham-Kent police has led to charges for a 47-year-old woman

Just after midnight on Friday, officers were called to a business on Grand Avenue West in Chatham for reports of an unwanted person.

The woman was known to police and investigation revealed that she was wanted on two outstanding warrants.

She was arrested, taken to police headquarters and later released with a future court date.

Succesful RIDE program in CK 

A recent RIDE program in the municipality ended with good results.

According to Chatham-Kent police, officers with the traffic department conducted a RIDE check on Thursday night in Chatham.

Police checked a total of 65 vehicles and no violations were observed.
