Solar lights targeted during break-in

Chatham-Kent police are asking for your help to solve a theft on St. Clair Street in Chatham.

Police said sometime around 4 a.m. Sunday, someone broke into a garage on that street and took off with 10 boxes of solar lights with a collective value of approximately $1,500.

If you have any information that could help police with the investigation, you are asked to contact Constable Pomajba at hilaryp@chatham-kent.ca.

Assault charge follows domestic call

A 46-year-old man is charged with two counts of assault after police were called to respond to a domestic disturbance in Chatham at around 1 a.m. Monday.

Police said the accused was arrested and later released from custody with conditions and a future court date.
