Woman arrested after entering vacant apartment unit a second time

A 25-year-old Chatham-Kent woman is in even more trouble with the law after allegedly entering a vacant apartment unit for a second time.

Police said the woman was seen breaking into a unit on Murray Street in Wallaceburg on Friday.

Officers attended and located the woman inside the apartment.

According to police, this was the same woman that broke into the apartment the day before.

The 25-year-old was arrested and taken to police headquarters where she was held for bail.

Vehicle stolen from driveway while warming up 

Police are asking the public to keep their eyes open for a 2009 white Ford Focus that was stolen from a residence on Baxter Street in Chatham.

According to police, the owner had left the vehicle unattended while it was warming up in the drive way.

While the vehicle was warming up an unknown suspect stole the car.

Man arrested with cart full of stolen items 

A 48-year-old man is facing charges after being caught with a cart full of unpaid items.

Police said they were called to a business on St. Clair Street in Chatham after the man left the store without paying for any of the items.

He was arrested and charged.
