Stolen Vehicle Arrest

A 32-year-old man was arrested in the area of Delaware Avenue in Chatham Monday night after officers on patrol located an occupied stolen vehicle.

Chatham-Kent police said the suspect was charged with possession of property obtained by crime and three counts of possession of ammunition contrary to an court order.

Impaired Driving Arrest

Drunk driving charges have been laid against a 22-year-old Wallaceburg man following a call from a business about an intoxicated male who was refused service.

Chatham-Kent police said the suspect was gone by the time officers got to the business on McNaughton Avenue in Wallaceburg, but was found shortly after driving in the area of Baseline Road and was arrested Monday afternoon.

Officers believed the male driver was driving while impaired by alcohol and was taken to the Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters for breath tests.

The man was charged with having a blood alcohol concentration exceeding the legal limit.

Domestic Charges Arrest

Police in Chatham-Kent have charged a man who was at a home on Westcourt Blvd. in Wallaceburg when he wasn't supposed to be there.

Police said the 38-year-old suspect had conditions not to be at the home or to associate with the home owner.

Investigators said the man left the area on foot before police arrived, but was found later and arrested for assault and two counts of failing to comply with his release order.

Numerous Arrests for Bail Violations/Outstanding Warrants

Five people wanted on outstanding warrants or for violating their bail were arrested on Monday.

Police in Chatham-Kent said a 22-year-old man was arrested and charged with three counts of failing to comply with his release order and the 18-year old female that was with him was charged with being a party to the failing to comply offence.

Police said the male was found to be breaching several conditions of his release order, including not to have any contact or communication with the female that was found with him.

Then, two women were arrested in the area of Park Street in Chatham on outstanding warrants.

The 45-year-old was wanted for failing to attend court and two counts of possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking. The 29-year-old female was wanted for failing to comply with her probation conditions, theft, and possession of stolen property.

A 33-year-old man wanted for uttering threats, weapons dangerous, and assault with a weapon was arrested at a business on McNaughton Avenue in Wallaceburg.

And a 38-year-old woman was arrested in the area of Julian Street in Wheatley for not showing up at court.
