Wanted man arrested in Chatham

Chatham-Kent police have caught up with a 32-year-old Chatham-Kent man who was wanted for failing to attend court.

Police said they found him while they were following up on a tip about some suspicious activity behind a building on McNaughton Avenue West just before 10:30 a.m. on Sunday.

The man was arrested on an outstanding warrant and later released with a future court date.

Man arrested for drunk driving after crash

A Chatham man is facing an impaired driving charge after he allegedly crashed a vehicle on McNaughton Avenue West in Chatham Sunday evening.

Police said they were called to the single-vehicle crash just before 6 p.m. Sunday, adding that they believed the driver was impaired by alcohol, so they arrested him and took him back to police headquarters for further breath tests.

A 44-year-old Chatham man was charged with having a blood alcohol concentration over the legal limit and was later released with a future court date.

CK police looking for stolen car

Chatham-Kent police are looking for a blue 2012 Hyundai Accent that was reported stolen from a home on Albert Street in Wallaceburg over the weekend.

Police said it's believed it was taken sometime between 12 a.m. and 8 a.m. Saturday.

The vehicle was last seen with Ontario license plate CJYJ 746 and you can find a picture of it below.
