Labyrinth walk in Chatham to support local charities

A labyrinth walk fundraiser with a focus on inclusivity and diversity is taking place in Chatham on Sunday.

Sharing Love in Mission will be collecting donations of clothing, personal care items, and cash for the three non-profit organizations.

The walk is taking place Sunday, November 13 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Active Lifestyle Centre on Merritt Avenue in Chatham.

This year's organizations include the Native Women’s Association of Canada, the Chatham-Kent Women’s Shelter, and the homeless shelter.

Organizers said the walk focuses on the themes "All Lives Matter" and "Hate Has No Home Here."

Participants are being asked to bring donations of hats, mitts, scarves, socks, or a gift for a woman and walk the labyrinth together.

Lawn signs with "Hate Has No Home Here" will also be sold for $20 as part of the fundraiser.

After the walk, there will be a time reflection, journaling, discussion, and conversation to share thoughts about the labyrinth experience.
