Breast Cancer Awareness plus Halloween at Maroons' game

The Chatham Maroons are about to turn a shade of pink on Sunday to support The Breast Buddies and Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

And don't be alarmed if you see some ghouls and goblins at the game, too. In fact, they are encouraged to show up for once -- as long as it's just for trick-or-treating.

The Maroons will be hosting a special Pink in the Rink game while also celebrating Halloween.

The Maroons players will be wearing pink jerseys donated by Dawn & Mike Wonnacott of Simply Vinyl Signs and Graphics that will be auctioned off along with other special items.

The proceeds from that auction will go to The Breast Buddies and the Canadian Cancer Society.

To celebrate Halloween, the Maroons are also encouraging kids and adults to dress up in their costumes to trick-or-treat.

Game time vs the London Nationals is 7 p.m. Sunday at Memorial Arena in Chatham.
