Police catch up with man wanted for shoplifting
It took a couple of weeks, but Chatham-Kent police have caught up with a man who was wanted for shoplifting at a business on St. Clair Street in Chatham earlier this month.
Police said the man was seen removing a product from the shelves and leaving the business without attempting to pay for the item.
A warrant was issued for his arrest and officers said they found him at an address on Michener Road in Chatham just after 4 p.m. on Sunday.
The 37-year-old Chatham-Kent man was taken back to police headquarters and charged with theft and possession of stolen property, then released with conditions and a future court date.

A 61-year-old Windsor man has been arrested and charged with impaired driving after Chatham-Kent police responded to a vehicle that was reportedly driving "all over the roadway" Sunday evening.
Police said the vehicle was spotted on Longwoods Road in Camden Township just before 6:30 p.m. Sunday, adding that officers found the vehicle and pulled the driver over.
Police believed the driver was operating the vehicle under the influence of alcohol, so he was arrested and taken back to police headquarters for further breath tests.
He was later charged with having a blood alcohol content over the legal limit and was released with conditions and a future court date.

Police track down man wanted on DNA warrant
Chatham-Kent police have hit a match for a man who was wanted on a DNA warrant.
Police said they found the man while they were investigating a matter on Dufferin Avenue in Wallaceburg just after 9 p.m. Sunday.
The accused was arrested and taken back to police headquarters where the DNA warrant was fulfilled. He was later released without any conditions.
