Woman arrested after providing police with the wrong name 

Chatham-Kent police have arrested a woman after responding to a call for a theft at a local business on St. Clair Street in Chatham.

Police said the woman provided officers with the wrong name.

The woman was found to have an outstanding warrant for failing to appear in court. She was transported to police headquarters and charged with theft and obstructing a police officer.

The woman was later released with a future court date.

Man arrested for public intoxication in Wheatley 

A man spent some time sobering up in police custody after he was found intoxicated at an apartment complex in Wheatley.

Police said they were called to an apartment in the area of Little Street in Wheatley Saturday.

The man, who also had an outstanding warrant, was arrested and taken to police headquarters where he was later released with a future court date.
