CK police briefs – Saturday, August 27, 2022

Chatham-Kent police responded to a number of break and enters over the course of the day on Friday and arrested a duo of wanted individuals.

Trio of break and enters

At approximately 7 a.m. police were called to an address on Arnold Street in Wallaceburg.

Officers found a front glass window of the property had been broken. It's believed that an unknown suspect(s) entered there and stole thousands of dollar’s worth of comic books.

Police responded to a break and enter complaint in the area of Birchwood Street in Chatham at approximately 7:30 a.m. on Friday.

It was determined that an unknown suspect(s) used an unlocked door, in the overnight hours between Thursday and Friday, to enter a garage. Several items were reported stolen.

Chatham-Kent Police learned that between 1:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. on Friday unknown suspect(s) entered a Regal Drive residence through an unlocked window.

Thousands of dollar’s worth of items have been reported stolen.

Police make a pair of warrant arrests

Chatham-Kent police arrested a 50-year-old Chatham woman who had an active warrant for failing to comply with her probation.

She was located at approximately 6:30 p.m. Friday and has since been released from custody with a future court date.

On Friday, at approximately 10 p.m., police located a 43-year-old Chatham man who was wanted by police for failing to comply with his probation.

Police arrested the man and released him with a future court date.
