Police make two arrests under Wallaceburg bridge
Two Wallaceburg residents are facing charges after they met up under the Murray Street bridge -- even though they had been ordered to stay away from each other.
Chatham-Kent police said they found the pair while they were completing a well-being check at around 5 p.m. Thursday and arrested them after learning that they were both on conditions not to be around one another.
The 51-year-old Wallaceburg woman was charged and later released with a future court date while the 30-year-old Wallaceburg man was held for bail after police learned he was also wanted on some outstanding warrants.

Woman accused of swinging at a police officer
A 30-year-old Chatham woman who refused to leave a property in Chatham late Thursday evening found a new place to stay overnight -- a police holding cell.
Chatham-Kent police said they found the woman while they were responding to a call about a female who refused to leave a property in Chatham after she was told to go.
The woman then allegedly tried to punch one of the officers who was escorting her away.
As a result, she was arrested and charged with assaulting a police officer.
She was taken to police headquarters and was set to be released "at a later time to prevent the continuation of the offence."
