WAMBO returns to Wallaceburg

The Wallaceburg Antique Motor and Boat Outing (WAMBO) will take over the streets and waterways of the town this weekend.

"It's a car, boat, tractor show, and we have all kinds of events for people to participate in," said WAMBO Chairman Bill Wolsing. "Vendors, entertainment, car cruise, and there's all kinds of things going on."

Friday night's events include the opening ceremonies, the Knights of Columbus BBQ, and the Terry Glover Memorial Cruise.

Saturday is the big car, boat, motorcycle and tractor show. Participants can register in advance at www.wambo.ca or the morning of the event.

If you're not into classic cars and boats, Wolsing said they also have lots of live music planned.

"Friday night we have the Ray Whaling Band. 3-piece classic rock, starts at 7 at the main stage. Saturday afternoon we have Leave Those Kids Alone, a bunch of young musicians from the Windsor area at 1 o'clock. At 7 o'clock that night on the main stage on Saturday we have Dreamers, a Supertramp tribute."

There will also be vendors, Art in the Park, a soap box derby, a farmer's market, and mini garden tractor pull on Saturday, while Sunday will feature an interdenominational church service.
