Chatham-Kent Police Chief Gary Conn will be taking some time off to heal following a medical condition.
A statement was put out by the Chatham-Kent Police Services Board on Tuesday morning.
According to CKPS Board Chair Patrick Weaver, Conn is taking some sick time and will be recovering at home for a short period of time.
"We expect a full and speedy recovery," Weaver said.
At the direction of the Police Services Board, Deputy Chief Kirk Earley is appointed acting chief until Conn can return to active duty.
