Community Living CK donates to families in Ukraine

A number of children and families in Ukraine will be getting some extra support, thanks to a donation from Community Living Chatham-Kent.

The organization is donating a portion of the proceeds raised from the 2022 Food Truck Crawl to support children with diverse abilities in Ukraine.

The $1,000 donation will be used in the city of Kryvyi Rih, Ukraine to help fifty families and people with diverse abilities.

"This vulnerable group of citizens is being neglected and desperately requires medicine, food, and water to survive," said CLC-K Manger Nicole Roeszler. “We are saddened by the ongoing crisis in Ukraine. We extend our thoughts and prayers to everyone impacted by this war and hope to provide urgent care to those in need."

Overseas Director for Loads of Love Humanitarian Aid and Mission Ed Dickson said the funds will help with groceries and medicine.

“We are beyond grateful to Community Living Chatham-Kent for their generous support," said Dickson.

Each year Community Living Chatham-Kent donates a portion of the proceeds raised from the Food Truck Crawl to a worthy cause.
