Man accused of damaging phone, doorway 

A 21-year-old Chatham man is facing two mischief charges after a family dispute escalated and caused damage to a phone and doorway.

Chatham-Kent police said their investigation started after responding to a family dispute at home on King Street in Chatham on Sunday.

Police said the man visited the home of his former girlfriend's mother and got into an argument with her. It's alleged he damaged her phone and the doorway of the home.

The man was charged with two counts of mischief under $5,000 and was later released with a future court date.

Tilbury man arrested after calling police multiple times with no complaint 

A 32-year-old Tilbury man spent some time sobering up in police custody after allegedly calling 911 multiple times and not reporting an incident.

Chatham-Kent police said they responded to an address on Fort Street in Tilbury for a disturbance and arrested the man for breach of peace.

The man was later released from police custody once he was sober.

Chatham woman arrested for trespassing 

A 33-year-old Chatham woman spent some time in police custody after allegedly attending a friend's home and refusing to leave.

Chatham-Kent police were called to the home just after 12:30 a.m. Monday morning and located the woman in the backyard.

She was arrested, transported to police headquarters, and lodged until she was sober.
