Man arrested for violating release conditions, carrying weapon in Wallaceburg 

A 40-year-old Wallaceburg man is in even more trouble with the law after he was found carrying a switch blade Thursday evening.

Police said the man, who was known to have a warrant for his arrest, is on a lifetime weapons ban for a previous condition.

The 40-year-old was arrested for the warrant, possession of a prohibited weapon, and breaching his release conditions.

He was held for a bail hearing.

Man arrested for being intoxicated in a public place

A 50-year-old Chatham man spent some time sobering up in police custody after officers found him passed out along Grand Avenue.

Police said the male was found unconscious and shortly learned he was intoxicated by alcohol.

The man was arrested and transported to police headquarters.

Man arrested after allegedly uttering threats, throwing rock at bar employee 

A 27-year-old man is facing several charges for allegedly throwing a rock at a bar employee after being asked to leave.

Police said they were called to Elephants Nest in Chatham once the man refused to leave after being asked.

The man proceeded to threaten to throw a rock through the window of the business which eventually ended up being thrown at the bars employees, according to police.

After a brief foot chase, police said the man was arrested.

He now faces charges for uttering threats, assault with a weapon, and outstanding warrants he previously had.

The man was transported to police headquarters and lodged pending a bail hearing.
