Man accused of 'mooning' people during argument in Wallaceburg

A 44-year-old Wallaceburg man is facing charges after he allegedly dropped his pants and "exposed his buttock" to some people who had come to inspect his apartment.

Chatham-Kent police said they were called to the scene on Wallace Street in Wallaceburg just after 10 a.m. Wednesday, adding that their investigation showed the man got upset after three people showed up at his apartment for a scheduled inspection.

Police said the man allegedly got into an argument with them and then spit in the face of one of the three people as they were walking away without completing the inspection.

The man then allegedly took another person's hat and threw it at the third person, hitting them in the face.

Officers said as the victims continued to walk away, the man removed his pants and exposed his buttock to them.

When police arrived, they arrested the man and charged him with theft, two counts of assault, and three counts of indecent acts.

He was taken to police headquarters and later released with conditions and a future court date.
