Unwanted communication leads to charges

Two women have been charged with criminal harassment after they allegedly contacted a man and a woman despite being told to stop reaching out to them.

Chatham-Kent police said the women were advised to stop communicating with the man and woman on May 22 and were also told at that time that if they did it again, they could be charged.

Police said despite that warning, the women allegedly continued the "unwanted communication," so they were arrested Tuesday night and charged with criminal harassment.

Each of the accused was taken to police headquarters and later released with a future court date.
