ATV reported stolen in Harwich Township

Chatham-Kent police are appealing to the public for tips as they try to track down leads on a black 2011 Polaris 850 ATV was reported stolen from a residence on Mull Road on Monday.

Police said the ATV was equipped with a bright yellow/green push bar and large black speakers on the front.

Wallaceburg man charged with assault after disturbance

A 21-year-old Wallaceburg man is facing one count of assault after an alleged altercation between two men on James Street in Wallaceburg.

Chatham-Kent police said they were called to the scene just after 2:30 p.m. Monday and arrested one of the men involved.

He was charged and taken back to police headquarters, then later released with conditions and a future court date.

Man arrested after e-bike reported stolen

A 42-year-old Wallaceburg man has been arrested after police followed up on a tip about a stolen e-bike.

Police said the e-bike was reported stolen from an address on James Street in Wallaceburg on Sunday.

A day later, police got a tip about where it was and who had it.

Officers followed up on the tip and managed to track down the bike and arrested a Wallaceburg man in connection with the case.

He was charged with possession of stolen property, taken back to police headquarters, and later released with conditions and a future court date.

Argument over employment agreement results in damage, charges

A 53-year-old Blenheim man is charged with mischief and uttering threats after he allegedly got into an argument with a homeowner over an employment agreement.

Police said the man is accused of causing damage to some building materials and threatening the homeowner Sunday evening.

He was gone by the time officers showed up, but they found him at his residence just after 7 p.m. Monday and arrested him.

The man was charged and later released with conditions and a future court date.

Man arrested for breaching bail conditions

A man who wasn't supposed to be out in public or carrying any break-in instruments is facing charges after police allegedly found him walking around late Monday night.

Police said the man was released by the court on May 14 with conditions that included a strict house arrest and a ban on possessing wire cutting tools or break-in instruments.

Officers said despite those conditions, they found him walking alone in the area of Degge Street and Park Street in Chatham just before 11 p.m. Monday, carrying some cutters and some wire.

As a result, the man was arrested, charged with two counts of failing to comply with a release order, and released with a future court date.
