Man arrested for aggravated assault

A 19-year-old Thamesville man is charged with aggravated assault after he allegedly caused a "significant injury" to another man's jaw.

Police said that happened Sunday evening, adding that their investigation started on Tuesday.

Officers arrested the accused at around 11:30 a.m. Wednesday and charged him.

He was taken back to police headquarters and later released with conditions and a future court date.

Police looking for stolen ATV

Chatham-Kent police are appealing to the public for tips as they try to track down a camouflage Suzuki King Quad that was reported stolen in Chatham on Wednesday.

Police said it was taken from a storage lot just off of York Court in St Clair Estates.
