Chatham-Kent police said they pulled a vehicle over just before 7:30 p.m. Sunday on McNaughton Avenue in Wallaceburg and learned that the driver had a suspended license and an open alcoholic beverage can in the driver's side door.

Police said when they searched the vehicle further, they allegedly found a significant amount of methamphetamine in the console.

As a result, 37-year-old Jonathan Thompson of Wallaceburg was arrested and charged with drug possession for the purpose of trafficking.
