Man arrested after threats made

A 35-year-old man has a summer court date after an incident in Wallaceburg on Thursday night.

According to police, officers responded to an address on Running Creek Drive around 6:30 p.m. in regard to a dispute involving the man.

While police were providing advice to the individuals who made the complaint about the man, he allegedly called the complainants and threatened them.

Officers located the Wallaceburg man and arrested him for one count of uttering threats. He was transported to police headquarters and later released with conditions and a future court date.

 Woman arrested for breaching the peace

A Chatham woman had to spend some time with police after causing a ruckus early Friday morning.

Police said they responded to a disturbance on Emma Street around 4:25 a.m.

Officers arrived and located a woman who, believed to be under the influence of an intoxicating substance, was allegedly refusing to leave the area and was acting aggressively towards others.

The 32-year-old was arrested for reaching the peace and transported to police headquarters. She was held until she was sober.
