Wallaceburg man arrested for domestic assault
A Wallaceburg man is facing charges after he allegedly grabbed a woman and forced her out of a vehicle.
Chatham-Kent police said they arrested the man after they were called to a business on Lowe Street in Wallaceburg shortly after 5:30 p.m. Thursday evening.
Officers said when they were investigating, they learned that the man had forced the woman out after they got into an argument inside the vehicle.
Police said the man left the area before they arrived, but they were able to track him down a few hours later.
Their investigation also showed that this was on the first incident of domestic violence between the pair.
A 37-year-old Wallaceburg man was arrested and charged with one count of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and two counts of assault. He was taken to police and was set to be held there pending a bail hearing.

Chatham man arrested after alleged domestic assault
A 27-year-old Chatham man has been charged after he allegedly assaulted his fiancé.
Police said they found that out when they were responding to a domestic dispute call at an address on Pine Street in Chatham at around 12 a.m. Friday.
The accused was arrested, charged with one count of assault, and taken to police headquarters. He was later released with conditions and a future court date.

Police hand out 11 tickets during traffic enforcement blitz across CK
Chatham-Kent police are reminding drivers to slow down and to obey the road signs after they handed out almost a dozen tickets during a traffic blitz across the municipality on Thursday.
Police said officers with the traffic unit were out on Base Line in Wallaceburg, North Street in Dresden, Fairview Line in Harwich Township, Kent Bridge Road in Kent Bridge, Wells Street in Howard Township, and Orangewood Boulevard and Indian Creek Road in Chatham.
Officers said in some areas, they used laser detection equipment and ended up issuing 11 Provincial Offence notices.
