A Wallaceburg man is facing charges after police followed up on a tip about a man selling narcotics to children.
Police said they received that tip at around 3 p.m. Wednesday and that the man was seen in the area of James Street in Wallaceburg.
Officers received a description of the man and found a suspect while they were following up on the information.
Police said the man they spoke to failed to identify himself to police and was then arrested for obstructing a peace officer.
Investigators said they found some "flick" knives and some brass knuckles on the man when they were arresting him -- even though he was banned from possessing weapons.
A 31-year-old Wallaceburg man was charged with obstructing a peace officer, two counts of possession of a banned weapon, and five counts of possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to a prohibition order.
He was later released with a future court date.
