Man accused of breaking window at downtown Chatham restaurant

A 30-year-old Chatham man has been charged with mischief after he allegedly broke a window at a restaurant on Third Street in Chatham.

Police said they got that call at around 8:30 a.m. Monday and found a suspect a short distance away.

He was arrested, charged, and taken back to police headquarters where he was set to be held pending a bail hearing.

Out-of-towner arrested on outstanding warrant

A 21-year-old Paris, Ontario man is getting acquainted with the local police force in Chatham-Kent.

Police said he turned himself in on an outstanding warrant shortly before 11:30 a.m. Monday and was later released with conditions and a future court date.
