CK Wedding Show returns this weekend

After a year off and a rescheduled date, the Chatham-Kent Wedding Show is back.

The event, which didn't take place in 2021, and was scheduled to take place in January this year, will finally take place at the Links of Kent in Chatham on Saturday, March 26.

Admission is $10, but all the money raised stays in Chatham-Kent.

"It stays local here for Big Brothers Big Sisters and goes towards our mentoring program," said Amanda Clark, Executive Director of BBBS Chatham-Kent. "This is exciting for us because we really haven't been able to get out into the community to fundraise, and this is a long-standing fundraiser for us. We are really happy to generate these local funds."

With so many weddings postponed because of COVID, Clark is hoping for a big turnout this year.

"I don't want to expect too much and be let down, but honestly, we've had incredible pre-sales so it does look like a very promising show. The entire venue is sold out, so we have the max amount of exhibitors that can be there. It's looking quite promising."

Clark said the show will feature everything you need to plan your wedding, including photographers, DJ's, officiants, decorators, invitations, and even more.

"New this year is our wedding boutique. So it's an opportunity to go in and shop local vendors that are actually selling their products. So these are unique things that you can maybe add to your wedding, maybe a gift that you can give to someone, or even something that you can add to your wedding then have in your home after to decorate."

The show is open from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. Tickets can be purchased in advance online at www.chathamkentweddingshow.com.
