Police catch up with woman accused of skipping court

A 39-year-old Wallaceburg woman who allegedly assaulted police officers twice last summer has been arrested again -- this time for allegedly skipping court.

Police said the woman allegedly punched and kicked an officer on June 28 last year when she was being kicked out of a Chatham motel after her stay had expired.

Officers said they were called in to help remove the woman from a different hotel in Chatham about a month later. At that time, the woman allegedly threw a piece of garbage at the officer's face.

Police caught up with her a third time on Sunday after she allegedly failed to show up for her previous court dates.

She was charged and later released pending a future court date.
