Ice safety reminder

Chatham-Kent police are also issuing an ice safety reminder to the public, noting that “no ice is safe ice.”

With fluctuating temperatures in the forecast, officers are reminding you that can cause the ice to become unstable.

You should never go out on the ice alone, you should always ensure you are prepared in case an emergency arises, and you should use caution at all times and stay close to shore.

OPP issued a similar safety message earlier this week.
