Man arrested following traffic stop in Chatham

A man is facing charges after he was found to have an outstanding warrant during a traffic stop on Dufferin Avenue in Wallaceburg.

Police say the man, who was prohibited from driving,  was found to have an outstanding warrant for failing to appear in court.

The man was later released with additional charges of operation while prohibited.

He has a future court date on February 6.

Chatham man arrested for possession while breaching probation 

A Chatham man is facing charges after he was found to not be following the rules of his probation.

Police say during a subsequent search, the man was found to be in possession of controlled substances. He was taken to police headquarters and charged with two counts of breach of probation and possession of a controlled substance.

Officers say he was held for bail.

Police investigate break and enter on Lorne Avenue in Chatham

Police are appealing to the public for information after a house under renovations on Lorne Avenue was entered sometime overnight.

Officers say an unknown quantity of tools were taken from the property.
