Trio arrested after car theft 

Three Wallaceburg residents are facing charges after allegedly stealing a getaway vehicle.

According to police, the three suspects entered a home on Lawrence Avenue in Wallaceburg around 10 p.m. Wednesday night.

The homeowners were inside at the time and confronted the trio. Police said the suspects fled with property and keys to the homeowner's vehicle and then allegedly drove away in the vehicle.

Through investigation, and with the assistance of phone and vehicle GPS, police were able to identify and locate the three suspects. The car and stolen property were also recovered.

As a result, a 24-year-old woman, a 27-year-old woman and a 33-year-old man were all charged with numerous offences, including break and enter, possession of stolen property and theft.

Break and enter at construction site

Police are investigating after a break-in at a construction area in Chatham.

According to police, it occurred sometime on Wednesday on Churchill Avenue.

Warrant arrest

A Wallaceburg man will have to answer to a handful of charges after an arrest on Wednesday.

Police said the 30-year-old was located on Dufferin Avenue in Wallaceburg and was wanted on an outstanding warrant for multiple charges including theft and possession of property under $5,000.

He was transported to police headquarters and held for bail.
