Collision leads to impaired driving charge
A Chatham man will have to answer to an impaired driving charge after a single-vehicle collision in Chatham.
Officers said they were called to the collision around 8 a.m. Sunday on Grand River Line.
An officer approached the vehicle and suspected the man was driving while under the influence of a drug. As a result, he was arrested and transported to police headquarters where a drug recognition expert conducted an evaluation.
As a result, the recognition officer believed the man was impaired by a drug. The 40-year-old was charged with impaired driving by drug.
Break and enter in Chatham
Police are looking for whoever broke into a house in Chatham early Monday morning.
Officers were called to an address on Joseph Street around 12:30 a.m. According to police, a suspect forced their way into the home and stole a wallet which contained cash, credit cards and personal identification.

Man charged with breaching curfew
A Tilbury man has a future court date after allegedly being caught outside his home when he shouldn't have been.
Police said an officer on general patrol in Tilbury spotted the man walking on Queen Street around 4 a.m. Monday.
The man, known to police, was under a court order to obey a curfew between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m.
The 40-year-old was arrested and charged with failing to comply with his release conditions. He was given a court date in January and released form custody.
