A 29-year-old Chatham man is facing charges after he allegedly stabbed someone with a knife.
Chatham-Kent police said they arrested the man after they responded to a disturbance call at a residence in Chatham Wednesday night, adding that the 32-year-old Chatham man who was stabbed and the man who allegedly attacked him both know each other.
Officers said the incident started as a verbal argument before things got physical, adding that a woman in the home was also threatened.
The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries and the 29-year-old man accused of stabbing him was charged with assault with a weapon, uttering threats, and failing to comply with his release conditions.
He was taken into custody pending a bail hearing.
