Street Sales a big success for Goodfellows

After a year off because of the pandemic, the Chatham Goodfellows returned to the streets to raise money for those in need.

This past weekend, volunteers stood outside numerous local businesses and collected $27,714.90 in donations during Street Sales.

That's $2,500 less than what was raised in 2019, but donations can still be E-transferred to donation@chathamgoodfellows.ca

All of the money raised goes to the Chatham Goodfellows No Child Without a Christmas campaign, which provides food and toy hampers to local people and families in need.

Food packing begins today. Volunteers are still needed, you can sign up through their website at https://chathamgoodfellows.ca/, or go to the former Sears store in Chatham.

Food and toy hamper pick-up will take place on December 17 and 18, and deliveries will take place on Sunday, December 19.
