Pair of break and enters in Chatham-Kent 

Chatham-Kent police are investigating after two separate break and enters on Thursday.

Officers were called to James Street in Wallaceburg on Thursday morning after an unknown suspect broke into the Geeks and Things store sometime overnight.

According to police, the culprit got away with some electronics and game cards.

Elsewhere, officers were called to a business on St. Clair Street in Chatham after an employee arrived to work and noticed that the glass front door had been smashed. The damage is estimated around $400.

Anyone with information on either incident is asked to call Chatham-Kent police or Crime Stoppers.

Theft at Chatham business

A 37-year-old woman will have to answer to a handful of charges after allegedly stealing from a Chatham business.

Police said on Thursday, they were called to the Home Hadware on Keil Drive South for a theft complaint.

As a result, the woman was arrested and charged with theft under $5,000, being in possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 and uttering threats.

She was released with a future court date.
