Drunk driver caught trying to satisfy hunger 

A 25-year-old Chatham man spent some time sobering up in police custody after trying to order food at a restaurant in Chatham, early Saturday morning.

Police were called to a drive-thru in the area of Richmond Street after employees suspected a customer operating a vehicle was impaired.

The male was arrested and taken to police headquarters where he reportedly failed the test and was charged.

He was held until sober and released with a future court date.

Male arrested after alleged assault 

Police say they were called to the area of Thomas Avenue in Wallaceburg after reports of a disturbance Friday night.

Officers arrived on scene and learned that a man had allegedly been assaulted.

A 24-year-old Wallaceburg man was arrested and released with a future court date.

Police make arrests on outstanding warrants 

Chatham-Kent police located a 25-year-old Chatham woman in the area of King Street East.

Officers learned there was a warrant for her arrest as she reportedly missed her court date.

She was arrested and released with another court date.

Police say she was not charged for missing court.

A 28-year-old Chatham man, who was also wanted by Chatham-Kent police, was located in the area of Grand Avenue East.

Police say he was arrested and released with another court date.

He was not charged for failing to attend court.
