Graffiti at Ridgetown Salvation Army Thrift Store

Chatham-Kent police are asking for tips after someone spray-painted the sign in front of the Salvation Army Thrift Store on Main Street in Ridgetown.

Officers said staff at the store told police on Tuesday that someone had damaged the sign and added graffiti to it.

Anyone with information may call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) may be eligible for a cash reward.

Woman arrested on unrelated warrant after domestic dispute call

The long arm of the law has caught up with a 27-year-old Chatham woman who was wanted for failing to attend court.

Police said they found the woman while they were following up on a domestic dispute call at an address on King Street in Chatham on Tuesday.

Officers said their investigation showed that the dispute was only verbal, not physical, but while they were looking into the issue, they learned that the woman was wanted on an outstanding warrant.

The accused was arrested, taken to police headquarters and later released with a future court date.
